Saint Expedite, also known as “Expeedee” to locals, is a beloved cultural Saint in the community of New Orleans as well as other areas of the World. While not a canonized Saint in accordance to the Catholic Church, he is a a figure that many come to for help in order to “move things along”.

A St. Expedite Community Altar Candle Service will be on April 19, 2025 for all to participate. To consider petitioning him and celebrate his Feast Day, burn a tealight candle in honor of St. Expedite for yourself or anyone who needs a little “push” in their lives to get moving on subjects and issues or products that have been placed aside or are moved to the “I’ll do it Later” category. Each candle for each person participating is $2.00 and your name will be placed on a list to be recited ad those needing help along with the Prayer of St. Expedite at the candle lighting ceremony. A photograph of the altar will be sent to you.
